Deputy Minister for Farming and Food Rebecca Evans AM has unveiled more details about how rural development funding worth more than £900 million will be spent.
Launching Welsh Government Rural Communities – Wales’ new Rural Development Programme for the 2014-2020 period – the Deputy Minister revealed that four new grant schemes totalling almost £30 million were already up and running.
Growers, farmers, and other rural businesses can now apply for support from four schemes:
Announcing the new funds, the Deputy Minister said: “I want us to safeguard and enhance our natural resources, and support the wider rural economy so that the fabric of rural Wales is increasingly more resilient and sustainable.”
