Isobel Smith, Project Development Officer – Horticulture Wales.
Isobel’s background is in Project Management. She studied business and social sciences for her degree and has worked on a number of funded projects in Wales, incorporating environmental elements. Her interest in horticulture was developed from an early age. Both her parents were passionate about horticulture, and it was almost inevitable she would become a keen gardener. Isobel is inspired by Welsh growers and producers and learning more about their diverse and multi-faceted businesses.
Jane Edwards, Report & Events Officer – Horticulture Wales
Jane has worked at Wrexham Glyndwr University, primarily within the Student Services Team for 25 years. She is delighted to have joined the Horticulture Wales project and enjoys connecting with people across Wales to support their many and varied horticultural activities. The rugged Welsh landscape is food for her soul, so she often disappears with her dog for long walks. She has four grown-up children and has been married for 34 years and loves nothing more than big family get-togethers.
Laura Gough, Business Development Manager, Knowledge Transfer and Innovation – Horticulture Wales
Horticulture Wales is one of a number of projects Laura manages for the university. Laura has worked at Wrexham Glyndwr University for nearly 19 years (she loves it!), working across various departments and projects in that time. Laura has two young sons who keep her on her toes, has a passion for fast cars, and loves organised chaos.
