- What is it?
This is an initiative delivered by Wrexham Universitys’ Horticulture Wales Project that is funded by Denbighshire and Flintshire County Council’s under the Shared Prosperity fund. The aims of this initiate is to promote and raise the awareness of locally grown produce and to make locally grown or produced food easily accessible with an over arching aim to reduce supply chains, food miles and improve local economy. - Where are they located?

Follow the instructions on the screen or the leaflets found close to the fridge titled “How to access your microgreens” - What are Microgreens?
Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are harvested just after the first true leaves have developed. They are often used as garnishes, salad ingredients, or to add flavour to various dishes. - What can I use Microgreens for?
You can be as creative as you like with your microgreens, however commonly they are used in smoothies or to garnish your dishes. Please email Horticulturewales@wrexham.ac.uk as soon as possible with your full name, You will not be able to access the fridge until you are in receipt of a new tag. - Can I grow my own microgreens from your containers?

Microgreens stored in the refrigerator can typically last up to 7 days from the harvest date found on the container. - How do I know if my microgreens are still fresh?
Fresh microgreens should have vibrant colours, crisp textures, and a mild, fresh aroma. - Where can I get more seeds to plant?
Seeds can be purchased from a variety of online and physical stores. Make sure to buy from a reputable source to ensure the quality of the seeds. - What varieties of Microgreens are available in the containers?
Sunflower, Kohlrabi, Fenugreek, White-mustard, China rose, Kale, Cress and Broccoli. - Who can I contact if I have more questions?

Terms and Conditions:
Fridges will be stocked weekly and containers will be on a ‘first come first serve’ basis.
Containers will include a mixture of the Microgreens grown at Wrexham University’s Northop Campus by Horticulture Wales.
Horticulture Wales will endeavour to always supply the best quality crop however hold no liability if some have begun to perish before use.
Recommended to keep refrigerated, washed before used and used within 7 days from harvest.
Your data will be handled in adherence of the DPA and will not be shared with any third parties.
